GET INVOLVED

If you’re interested in volunteering and have a passion and love for animals, then our Dogs Mountain volunteer program would be a wonderful experience for you!

The dog sanctuary is located in North Luzon, which is roughly about a 6-hour bus ride north of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The sanctuary has an all-round friendly, relaxed atmosphere enhancing lots of happy dogs roaming around in this wonderful, natural mountain environment.

We have had many volunteers that have worked with us and we still need many more. There are a variety of projects we need your help with, all directly benefiting the animals we look after, as well as our spayed & neuter outreach support in the community. There is always work to be done on-site, and support is much needed to be able to continue providing care to the animals. It’s a great opportunity to experience our Filipino culture and volunteering in a meaningful experience while working with rescued animals who can benefit most from your empathy.

We ask only £500 or $680 USD per person per 2 weeks; this nominal contribution costs cover all your accommodation, transportation to and from airport, and three home- cooked meals daily: breakfast, lunch and dinner, teatime. The contributions are also used to fund our on-going project work in the sanctuary you are volunteering at. Covering medical expenses needed for veterinary care, every animal that needs to be treated, food for the animals in our care, materials, sanctuary supplies. Your program contributions cover the cost of making this project possible.

If you have special skills such as animal care, veterinarian, vet’s nurse, graphic designer, web developer, photography and videography, construction, electrical, plumbing, driving, gardening, etc, please let us know. We would also love volunteers who are good with children to take a dog to visit local schools and help educate them about keeping companion animals. All will add to the enjoyment of your stay with us.
Making this a great opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience, can be a great way to gain skills and make a lasting impact with your work!
Please note, we have had some volunteers arrive and found it a bit hard to work in higher temperatures than they are used to, so bear in mind the sub-tropical climate/temperatures. We want you to enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the sanctuary and share in this unique project.

WHY VOLUNTEER?
You will make a positive impact in a number of ways, not only to the animal’s lives but also to ours.

You will experience the joy of bonding with the animals and the pure fulfillment of helping them experience unconditional love. It is a special, one-of-a kind experience.
You will meet different people from around the world and get to immerse yourself in a completely different culture. The Philippines is vibrant and exciting with an abundance of beauty all around; it’s certainly a must-see place!
If you decide to undertake our volunteer program, please know in your heart that your effort and contribution makes a huge difference to our cause. We can’t change the dogs’ traumatic pasts, but we can certainly brighten their futures and make the present moment magical.
